I started out at on the BBC news-desk before working at Tottenham Hotspur on content production and social media. In 2014, I made the decision to pursue my one true love in life - pizza - and now work across digital platforms at PizzaExpress. Chatbots have the potential to completely change the way brands interact with customers. We decided to test the waters with a Facebook Messenger game which would provide an innovative, fun, personalised and rewarding experience to people in our restaurants over the Christmas period. An incredible 150,000 people played the game and we received brilliant feedback. And, post-campaign, it's fantastic for our brand to have the ability to talk to a new audience that had not engaged with us online previously. With chatbots still in their infancy, it was also fascinating to see such a large number of people knowing how to use them and this has definitely accelerated our plans for using the technology this year. The future is very exciting. We have big plans for how we will use chatbots to improve customer experiences with PizzaExpress over the coming months.
