Darren Goldie leads the integration of new and existing media channels into a single buying platform through the pioneering META DSP that HAVAS introduced into the market in 2014. One of the big challenges his team face is the integration of TV and the management of consumer data through the fast growing Internet of Things and smart home innovations that are changing how people consumer media and the role of different devices to display and manage marketing content. As a sister company of Vivendi, which owns Universal Music, Havas is well placed to be a new force in the merging of content and media as the role of TV and content production continues to change. Having started his career as a software engineer for the Ministry of Defence, Darren began building a number of internet based sites and services in response to consumer demand. Since then he has started & exited a number of businesses and spent many years working on European and APAC expansion initiatives for well known dotcom, mobile, tech and media businesses. Alongside his role at Havas, Darren is an ambassador for the Big Issue and actively involved in early venture funding and NED roles within the tech and media space.
