Amelia is Social Media Manager at J.K. Rowling’s Pottermore, devising bold and exciting digital strategy to surprise and delight the fanbase. She has doubled Pottermore’s social audience in less than a year, and is always looking for new ways to innovate and engage, whether that’s turning the channels dark to launch Patronus, or creating house-themed Facebook Frames. Amelia’s background is in film and entertainment PR, spending two and a half years at Premier working on social campaigns for clients including the BFI London Film Festival, IMAX, Lionsgate, Fox and Universal. She specialises in engagement with key fan sectors, established new and exciting ways to communicate with a young adult audience. Aside from Amelia’s current work on the Harry Potter, she has also created innovative social campaigns for major franchises including Hunger Games and Game of Thrones. She is also a proud winner of The Drum’s Social Buzz Award for In-House Client Team of the Year 2016, and nominee for Social Strategy of the Year at the Drum’s Marketing Awards.
